IT² has faculty, research associates and student groups that cross traditional disciplines in the areas of networking, communications, systems and software. In addition to basic research, these groups have undertaken research on applications that stimulate basic research in the fields of transportation, health care, emergency crisis management and critical infrastructures, etc.
